What is design to smile?

Designed to Smile is a specific national program to improve oral health. Its main objective is to improve the dental health of children in Wales. Designed specifically for smiling aims to reduce oral health inequalities for young children in Wales. A smile design is the process of planning cosmetic and orthodontic procedures that will create an Instagram-worthy smile.

Cosmetic dentists base aesthetics on the patient's mouth and face. The process may include implants, crowns, veneers, whitening, lip lifts, and gum alterations. There may also be some physical benefits to your smile, such as enamel fortified with veneers or crowns to cover sensitive areas. A Smile design dental makeover combines multiple aspects of cosmetic dentistry to help patients optimize their smile.

We need Designed to Smile to continue to use its specific evidence-based interventions to further support these children and their families. This suggests that prevention is intensifying in the delivery of primary dental care and these trends are consistent with the evidence-based guidelines of Designed to Smile. Toothbrushing is a good example where, as part of Designed to Smile, they learn skills, establish a daily brushing routine, and understand why brushing their teeth and protecting dental health are important. Designed to Smile teams have also developed resources to promote lessons for older elementary school children to support and reinforce the message of good oral health.

The design takes into account the relationship between every aspect of a person's mouth and face, including gums, lips and teeth. Klein will work with you to customize and plan your smile design, giving you the individual attention you deserve rather than a generic solution. Designed to Smile was created and funded by the Welsh Government to specifically target children in areas where tooth decay levels were highest to address inequality in dental disease.
